For all the Joker lovers in the room. Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

For those of you who don’t already know, Midway and Ed Boon are in the process of putting out MK vs DC, the eighth in the Mortal Kombat franchise guest staring the characters of the DC Universe. Batman, Superman, Catwoman, Wonderwoman, Green Lantern, Captain Marvel, and The Joker have all been confirmed. Some people were questioning how violent (aka fun) the game would be with the presence of these the characters and once it was released that the game would be rated “Teen” people began to really run for the hills.

Never fret MK fans, Boon and team had promised that all MK characters and DC villian would perform fatalities and the DC heroes (seeing as they don’t kill) will perform brutalities of some sort. Now all this is fine and dandy but your boy has just located some proof of this, thanx to the guys over at N4G and your friendly neighborhood Joker. Enjoy…

Comic Con Experience Monday, July 28th, 2008

So I was just going to post about my time kicking it at the Pixel Junk Eden Booth where me and the wife got addicted to this new PS3 classic in the making, but I don’t want to short change you guys so I’ll hit you guys with the highlights.

First off here’s Kanna playing Motorstorm 3 where a hands on beta was available for the first time to the public. The game is incredibly fun and up to four players were getting it in at the booth a few feet away from the new SOCOM, Buzz and handouts of exclussive giveaways of Eye of Judgement Cards.

Of course my highlight of the day came when I sat in on the Attack of the Show Pannel and met Kevin Periera, Olivia Munn, Blair Butler and Cobra Commander. Kevin’s parents and Drunken Ted (Given away to whoever could make the quickest burrito) also made appearances. Those guys are soooo authentic!! It was really amazing to meet them and watch how they interact with another. The family-like chemistry was definatly there. Oh and I also met the “uber-fan” Fritz. Hey flew there from Philly!!! Someone give that man a job!!

All and all it was an awesome experience!!! Anyone that can find the AOTS panel online hit me up! Oh and check out this game I picked up at one of the booths. Its free from NCSoft. There are ads and microtransactions but they don’t hender the experience if you want to stay free. Its called Exteel and its a Mech-based p-vs-p game. Once you get past the Tutorial its lots of fun. If your on, find me. Tyger0! Holla…

Joss Whedon Presents: Dr. Horrible Monday, June 30th, 2008

I found this among some Joss Whedon news… It seems that Mr. Whedon has created a new internet mini-series, namely “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog“.

From doctorhorrible.net: “During the WGA strike Joss Whedon started writing a three part musical series for the internet. Each of the three episodes will be approximately ten minutes each.”

You’re going to want to read more after the break… (more…)

Marvel + Stephen King’s THE STAND = YES!!!! Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

The Walkin\' DudeHey, I wanna post, too!! Don’t bogart the site, man! Oh wait, that’s my fault for not posting anything for months.

I just read about this on EvilAvatar, and it sounds like a capital idea to me! Marvel Comics has announced that they will be making a new comic series based on The Stand. The story will be taken from the “Complete & Uncut” version of King’s best book of all time. …ok, maybe it ties with IT. It’ll be written and drawn by people I don’t know who’ve written and drawn comics I’ve never read before. However, the good news is that after they put their grubby mitts all over it, Stephen King himself will check it for quality.

Now, I know that Stevie has okayed some steaming piles of crap before when it comes to adaptations of his work, but the Dark Tower comics have been pretty good so far. We’ll See!!
