Laurel & her mom were super excited to see it. Laurel’s enough of a fan to own the box set, though.
That said, when I see the commercial, my mind hurts. It’s been so long since the show that the characters have been reduced to cliches in our current culture. To see them making a movie and having the cliche characters acting out thier own cliches as if it’s new…it’s like an Escher picture. If this movie had come out a year after the series ended, it would’ve made sense. If this movie had come out in another 5 years, it would’ve made more sense as a nostalgia-type thing. Releasing it now puts it in the weird zone, somehow. That’s how Jenn and I feel about it, anyway.
